Cottonwood Mott Line Camp

Cottonwood Mott Line Camp

This area was used as a line camp as early as 1878 and was the site of at least two gunfights. The line camp is named for the stand (motte) of cottonwood trees surrounding a nearby spring. It sits on an active ranch and the current owner grew up in this cabin, though it is no longer occupied.
