I started serious photography when I wanted to document my travels with the Air Force.  I drifted away from photography for many years, but once I settled in Lubbock, Texas, I again wanted to record my travels and the wonderful west Texas sunsets.  When I got into astronomy in a big way around 2000, I found my calling - taking night, wildlife, and low light photos.

My day job is computer and technology support at Texas Tech University, but I spend most of my weekends out under the stars enjoying the gloriously wide and dark skies of west Texas.  I now share this passion with students of South Plains College Extended Education Photography, which has helped me learn more about the craft!
